Welcome to IIS City Campus
IIS traces its genesis to February 1996, when it commenced its operations in Jaffna. IIS is the brainchild of Mr. Kularatnam Vignesh, Chief Executive Officer of IIS, whose aim was to form an institution of higher learning that could provide quality education to students in the Northern part of Sri Lanka.
IIS has approximately 19,000 students in its portal present and past studying in disciplines such as Information Technology, Computing, Business Management, Civil Engineering and Quantity Surveying. Graduate, undergraduate and continuing education programs are offered in all disciplines .The programs in these disciplines are conducted under the supervision of a highly qualified, professional and motivated faculty. The campus curriculums are not only competitive but also in line with academic practices prevalent globally. It is an approach especially suited to confronting many of the enormously complex challenges that faces us in the technical and corporate world.
Campus facilities include highly sophisticated infrastructure and state of the art academic facilities, a well-stocked library, state of the art computing facilities, well equipped teaching labs, classrooms equipped with the latest audio-visual aids, an auditorium and a seminar room. In keeping with its broad vision of education and training human resources IIS City Campus, caters to the educational needs of the youth of all communities and classes. Our student population consist of men and women not only from Jaffna but also of many other part of Sri Lanka.
Students’ time at IIS City Campus is one of the most exciting, self-fulfilling, and challenging periods in their lives. Individual attention is given to students to develop and enhance their technical and analytical competencies. Students are also encouraged to participate in various extracurricular and academic activities to facilitate their personal and professional development.
